A Voice for the Voiceless

Nashville, Tennessee Jessica Schultz Attorney Animal Law, Personal Injury Law, Insurance Lawyer

Now, she uses this insider knowledge to fight for injured clients and hold negligent parties accountable. She understands how insurance carriers investigate and value claims — and uses that to her clients’ advantage to pursue the settlements they deserve. As a trained mediator and arbitrator, she works to resolve cases efficiently, minimizing stress and resources for both clients and the courts.

Jessica is committed to proactive legal education and helps clients understand how strong contracts, appropriate insurance, and proper risk management can prevent future harm. Whether advocating for people or their pets, her mission remains the same: to make the legal system more accessible, more compassionate, and more just.

As a first-generation attorney, Jessica’s path wasn’t traditional. She worked full-time while obtaining her law degree and still carries a strong work ethic and deep understanding of what it takes to persevere- while balancing family, friends, and fun. Practicing law is a privilege that Jessica does not take for granted.

A native of Tell City, Indiana, Jessica has called the Nashville area home for nearly two decades. She earned her Bachelor’s in Pre-Law/Criminal Justice from Ball State University and her J.D. from Nashville School of Law.

In her free time, you’ll find Jessica dancing, volunteering at animal rescues and pro bono legal clinics, collecting stamps in her National Park Passport, and spending time with her family and friends. She is the proud mom of two boys — one human and one feline. (RIP Priest Lei Schultz)

Lastly, Jessica knows that you have options when choosing an attorney. Jessica is deeply grateful for the trust you’ve placed in her. She’s committed to honoring that trust with integrity, compassion, and relentless advocacy.

Jessica Schultz

Jessica Schultz is an attorney dedicated to being a voice for the voiceless — whether advocating for animals, representing individuals harmed due to negligence or those in need of a fair settlement from the large insurance company. With a practice focused on animal law, personal injury, and insurance disputes, Jessica brings a rare combination of compassion, strategic insight, and deep industry knowledge to every case.

Focused on combining her passion for the law with her lifelong advocacy for animals, Jessica currently serves as Chair of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Animal Law Section and is also a member of the American Bar Association’s Animal Law Section & Companion Animal Subcommittee. In these roles, she is at the forefront of identifying and addressing the legal needs affecting the lives and welfare of our beloved pets.

Before devoting her practice to advocacy and victims’ rights, Jessica spent nearly 20 years working within the insurance industry, gaining extensive experience across commercial and personal lines, with a focus on coverage, risk management, and claims. She has served as a claims adjuster, a licensed P&C agent, and a fraud investigator, and has conducted in-depth risk management inspections for businesses. Her investigation skills are what have always set her apart. She’s not afraid to knock on doors to get witness statements or climb on a roof or under a car to inspect damages- if that is what it takes to get the answers needed.

Memphis Michael Schultz

Purrfessional Presence & Feline Face of the Firm

Memphis serves as the official Office Manager and resident morale booster at Schultz Law. With a strong background in napping on case files, walking across keyboards mid-Zoom, and supervising the mousepad, Memphis ensures the office never takes itself too seriously.

Though he occasionally sends out accidental emails, Memphis plays a serious role in embodying the heart of the firm’s mission: to advocate for the voiceless. As a rescue cat turned law office royalty, he reminds us daily of why protecting animals — and those who love them — matters.

When he’s not causing some kind of shenanigans, Memphis enjoys long stretches in the sun, being a pet pillow, and reminding everyone that sometimes a gentle purr says more than a strongly worded email.
